I Can’t Hear You! Communicating with Your Dog
Before you can teach your dog anything, you have to be sure he is listening.
Do you know how to communicate with your dog in a language that he understands? If he isn’t listening, it’s because he doesn’t understand you! Dogs “speak” to their humans all the time through the use of body language. We have millions of words in the English language but dogs only have their bodies in which to communicate. Dogs don’t speak English; conversely, most people don’t know how to speak dog or read his body language. The result can be frustrating and frequent miscommunication. Our dog trainers will show you how to gain your dog’s trust and obedience by teaching you how your dog interprets the world and how he communicates within it. Once the two of you are communicating, all things are possible.
Dogs typically respond better to hand signals than to voice commands because they use their bodies, not language, to communicate.
