Does your dog jump up on you when you come home from work? Does his enthusiasm for visitors cause him to maul your guests at the front door?  You can teach your dog to sit to be greeted instead!

Dogs naturally get excited when their people come home and when they see strangers out in public and most express this excitement by jumping up on them. Dogs can only offer behaviors which they know-those you have previously them!  If you want your dog to stop jumping up on you and others, then you must teach him an alternate behavior.  Teaching your dog to sit to greet is the perfect solution.

Dogs learn quickly and if you are consistent with your training, your dog will sit politely in front of you (and others) when he wants your attention instead of jumping all over you.
