The Kong is a dog’s best friend. It is a practical way to deliver soft foods such as canned dog food, yogurt, pumpkin, apple sauce or mashed yams.  This video demonstrates how to clean and fill the Kong dog toy.

Benefits of a Kong

Dogs have to figure out how to lick the food out of the device which provides a mentally stimulating activity for the dog and quiet time for you. Dog’s need structured activities to provide enrichment and help keep them out of trouble. When you have something to do and can’t focus on your dog, give him something to do!

When is a good time to deliver a Kong?

  • While the family meal is being prepared or eaten
  • At the end of a long day when you’d rather just relax instead of entertaining your dog
